Not everyone likes it when their building project is pushed out by bad weather, unexpected delays or contractors that over promise and underdeliver. There's a lot of romance surrounding building your dream home but also many opportunities for headaches and stress.
Have you ever driven past a site with the wooden skeleton of a kitset house exposed to the elements? Did you wonder whether all the rain, cold and wind was good for it? Did you wonder what the builders were doing on days like that?
Bad weather delays housing projects, and once a single element has been pushed out there's a domino effect, pushing everything else out. All of a sudden that dream you had of being in the house by Christmas has turned into desperately hoping that the weatherproofing will be up before more bad weather comes.
So what's so good about a prefab home?
We build your entire house inside our factory. That means, come rain or shine, our builders can continue to build your home. This protects many of the vulnerable internals of a home from the elements. This means our timelines are more controlled, which means you can give us the date you'd like to be moved in by and we can work your timelines backwards from there.
Built in 18 weeks
That's how quickly we can have your prefab house built. With an internal team of builders that are used to building our designs we can move efficiently and quickly to have your home ready as soon as possible. This reduces your accommodation costs, or means less time roughing it in a tent on site while you wait for your house to be built.
See it being built
You can still enjoy the experience of seeing your house being built by visiting our factory and seeing your home in all its glory. No matter the weather you can conduct a 'site visit' whilst guaranteeing you'll be warm and dry, and your house will be too!
Your home delivered
Once your house is finished we'll deliver it to your section. Without the constant footfall of vans, trades and diggers your section won't be torn up and stands a good chance of recovering a lot quicker, meaning you can enjoy that 'settled in' feeling a lot quicker. if you have other plans for the site you can sell the prefab home and have it removed easily.
If materials for your kitset house are held in transit, or if specialist trades are booked but have to be put on hold you'll need to be careful that there aren't holding or stand down costs. You may have costs associated with any damage bad weather could cause and even though some of it may look fine to start with there may be hidden, long-term problems. We give a fixed price quote, and stick to it.
High standard of build
We use master Builders and some of the finest materials available. Our houses come with a long list of standard inclusions and because it's all been factored into the design of the house from the start it all works well together. We've selected the tradespeople that we can rely on, which takes the guesswork out for you on whether they are reliable.
Many people think a 'prefab home' means uncustomisable. That's simply not the case, we like to work with you to create the home of your dreams. Take one of our designs and tweak it, or come to us with your own design and we can discuss your options. Either way a prefab home can still be a statement of your individuality.
