Maintaining a comfortable temperature in your new home is critical, especially in the South Island. To maximise energy efficiency, we always stay up to date with the latest insulation requirements and partner with New Zealand's most trusted brands.

Every one of our prefab houses is fully insulated to meet South Island requirements. In addition to Pink Batts or similar insulation, our windows have thermally broken aluminium frames and double-glazing with Argon & Low-E. For your heating solution, you can choose from a quality electric heat pump or a Metro wood fire. Find out more about our heating and insulation products below.

Our heating and insulation solutions

We work with the best names in the business to keep your home warm, safe, and healthy. To ensure your new home is easy to heat and cool, we offer the following features:

Thermally broken aluminium joinery.
Low-E double glazing with argon gas.
Full Pink Batts or similar insulation.
A thermally broken, double-glazed entry door.
EPS underfloor insulation.
Quality electric heat pump or Metro wood fire (optional).

Standard insulation

Included in our base prices, our homes come with the following:

Underfloor insulation: 40mm EPS polystyrene.
Roof insulation: Exceeds R7.0 Pink Batts*.
External wall insulation: R2.8 Pink Batts*.

*other R value options available.

Upgraded insulation

For areas that are prone to lower temperatures, our Cold Climate Kit provides the following upgrades:

Lagging on all internal water piping, including cold.
Upgraded underfloor insulation.
Upgraded ceiling insulation.
A cover over the gas califont (if applicable).

Heating

With our homes, you can choose between a Mitsubishi Electric heat pump or a Metro wood fire. In addition, you can choose to add a heat transfer kit to spread the heat around the entire house. This can be an especially appealing option for our larger 4 & 5 bedroom homes.

Building process

After discussing your needs, our team handle the consent applications and begin construction in our factory. Then we complete the interior fit-out, inspect it, and deliver it to your location.

Standard inclusions

When we hand over the keys to your new home, it is fully finished to your specification. From the main structure to the smoke detectors, we offer a wide range of standard inclusions.
